Inky's Isthmus

Thursdays Child...

I love Thursdays and I found out that I was born on Thursday too. Work seems to be funner, the day goes faster and tomrrow is Friday! Yesterday was hubby's birthday and I stayed up til Midnight on Tuesday (he works a second shift) to offer him a tiny cake with a candle and a quick version of my singing "Happy Birthday to you". Things you do for love!

Anyways, I submitted 2 more layouts this week, keeping my fingers crossed. My goal for this year was to be on a Design team (I am on 2 now) and to get published in a real magazine. I did get published on an online mag...2 now (just got the word yesterday for the 2nd one) but...that wasn't my real goal.

Well...gotta go curl my ahir. Then off to the wonderful world of talking on the phone!

take care and stuff,
Linda

Can you say drugs?

No.....NO! I do not take drugs, even tho' every now and then someone suggests that I should....hahahaha. I am talking about drug recalls...I know more about them then the usual person. Work for the company that assists with medical recalls. I can tell you this....both Thursday and Friday it has been 13 hours of straight talking, and my knees ache from sitting that long. To me that is missing scrapbook time. DH works 2nd shift so I am not missed except by my little dog in the evenings. She is so clingy when I am gone too long. I have been showing her extra attention today....have her sitting next to me right now.

I am trying to keep up with my blog...but noone is reading them. I thought that if I mentioned drugs...

OK....I am off to shop. Need MORE chipboard pieces. I am addicted to them...and shoot they are costly.

signing off,
Linda

Ok....so I got a letter

But not in the mail. From the amazing online mailsystem, email! It states that one of my layouts is a cover finalist. Yay! I jump up and down and then read the rest of the letter. So here I sit, after pulling it from all 4 websites including my blog, scanning and rescanning to get a good copy of it....2 1/2 hours later. I am not complaining, just wished I would of waited a day or two before plastering all over! lol

Ok...I am so ready for this week to be over. I work with some younger guys that try to do as little as possible. The problem is due to thier lack of work the hammer came down on all of us. The big cheese want us to double the work load requirements. Maybe the one guy won't roll his chair behind mine to chit chat with others, now. The only "bump" I care to do is the old '70s dance and at that, I want some good music to go with it! His load boosting about how little work he really does finally got reported. It was only a matter of time. Tick, tock.........BOOM.

I am finally only the flu to the point of not being contagious, but the body aches are with me still. Kevin, my hubby has the cough that won't quit. I woke up to find him coughing from the computer, and dug thru the bathroom medicine cabinet halp-asleep (3 am) until I found the Vicks Vapor rub. I felt almost mean as I handed him the jar, knowing the long strands of chest hair were gonna be covered in goop. I still haven't figured out if it was the guilt of watching me sway back and forth in extreme drowsiness or out of desperation that he thickly applied the aromatic ointment.

Well off to add some things to a layout I am working on. a spring one....my little granddaughter egg hunting and sitting by some tulips. The title awaits some creativity. I have an hour or so before he comes home to the homemade chicken soup. Wish me luck!

Inky's Isthmus

Inky's Isthmus

Hey now! What to tell you all since my last blog message. Gee...since that last I have a new grandson: Brady! So beautiful. I do not se him enough. With going back to work I don't see anything enough.

I now have glasses due to the eye problems...they never figured out what was wrong. I felt like there was something embedded...poor eye doc learned that yes there is a new mascara that you apply white first, then the black side. He thought I had some wierd eyelash infection. I got red ones too...not that I am a fan of Sally Jesse Raphels...but, I have had red, rose or pink glasses since the 80s. I don't even have a pic of me in them yet. Sounds like a scrap page is calling me!

Anyways, I kinda quit begging for DT psotions and lately they have been asking me. The NEW and improved best kits on web scrapbook site is up and running. Check it out...
www.scrapbookchalet.com there are some amazing women on the DT there. Including myself...hehehehehe. I am also on an artsy type DT at Jeans Art Dolls. Big things are gonna happen there, I can just feel it. Still, waiting to hear back from another DT call. Keep your fingers crossed for me, it includes writing articles with new ideas. Something I pride myself in. Isn't the world of scrapbooking fun? since, being different counts for something!

I offically am not a smoker now, and eating alot healthier too! Did you hear about the mouse study? They had some old mice that were having troubles finsihing the maze. So, these good ole boy scientist fed these mice a diet of blueberries. And, you guessed it the mice got thru the maze. Gues what I eat everyday? BLUEBERRIES! hehehehehe That and alot of white fish, fresh veggies and rice. Well not alot in one day....but, it is alot when you count months worth.

Today at work I got one of the nicest compliments...while washing my hands in the bathroom. This girl told me that she thinks I am one of the happiest people she ever met. I smile alot and I know that. I giggle and have got myself snorting at work a time or two. I hum jingles when I do paperwork, because I try to forget that I am doing paperwork. But, still sometimes people say things that linger in your mind, especially when it comes to what others think personally about you.

Well, I need to get some things done to ready myself for tomorrow, so see ya soon...hope this finds you all happy and stuff.

After a Starbucks latte

I didn't take time to savor that Latte, I sucked it down in record time and now I have a slight headache, my lips feel a bit oily (from the whipped cream) and I have realized I adore that green straw. hehehehe
So much time has elasped since my last blog account. hmmmmmmmm my puter was down for about a week, I have had eye problems, and just didn't feel like exposing myself. I am unblocking my blog for messages, so I am back officially as of TODAY!
I need to run to the grocery for a few items today. I am going through the veggie craving thing. Our weather has been so hot not much else sounds good. Going crazy over jasmine rice lately too.
OK...time to get up and moving around.
bye

Friday and everything is alright now!

good Friday to you and you and you and even you!

I finally had a good cry over the things at the Safe before falling asleep last night. What that means is I am done all the craziness. Let's face it, the one that caused all the grief couldn't break us, and finally retreated and left. Time to take a deep breath, claim the site back knowing only happiness and goodwill is there.

I say it's time to PARTY. And I do know that the Safe is going to have a huge party very soon.

****Keep your eyes peeled for details***

OK, the fridge stopped yesterday. Thank goodness for extra fridges and freezers.

I am frying up over a dozen of good Italian sausages for the pitch in at work. yummmmmy.
Pitch ins rock, btw. lol

See ya real soon....
